About Me
Pursue what you love to do and you will find your place in the business world. That is exactly what happened to me. I didn’t look to be in marketing, but it found me–and I’m grateful it did!
I was an English major in college, mainly because I felt it would provide me with a good foundation for whatever career I would decide to pursue. I actually thought I might work for a record company – because I thought I was cool like that. I even interned at a couple of record companies. I took an admin job out of college, where they generously nurtured my creative side by letting me take a certificate program in graphic design at Parson’s New School in New York City. What I didn’t know at the time was how perfect each of those experiences would equip me for a steady and successful career in marketing: creativity, good writing, an appreciation for the consumer, and I’d like to think a little personality. Just the right marketing mix!
I hold over 20 years marketing experience, primarily in New York City’s publishing industry, in which I held different positions including Marketing Services Director at Good Housekeeping magazine and Marketing Director at Popular Mechanics magazine.
Now, I am fortunate to be working as an Independent Marketing Consultant from my home in beautiful, sunny Colorado where I serve as the “marketing girl” for a variety of clients, local and out of state.
When I’m not working, I am devoting time to my husband and twin girls, or blogging about home entertaining at Home Confetti.
